Relationship

What does relationship mean to you? Relationship to me can be described by the word itself. A ‘ship’ sailing on a sea which it is in very close relation to, it requires the sea to be what it is – a ship, a means of transport in its true element.

Like me I have my close relations that holds me up, moves me forward, make me who I am, my mirror.

I dock at different ports, new relations. I might not stay for long and the impression and impact can vary. Some might relief me of baggage and goods, some will add goods. Not all which are good or easy to carry, I might not notice the impact at first in the calm weather, how heavy or light the load is, but in the storm it might way me down, at times I want to give up. My base, my sea gives me freedom and strength to be curious and to explore. It takes me out on adventure and I do not always know what to expect but we respect each other. We give each other the freedom to decide direction and conditions.

Some shores you remember and carry with you always and you can return from time to time and it will always feel like arriving at home. Others you forget even though they might be full of laughter and fun while it lasted. Some turned up to be the greatest love and you never imagine being able to depart again, but when returning to explore the same feeling once again nothing is the same.

The ship has once again reached a harbor this time one that is has been drawn to for a long time. A place of change and transformation. Not a total transformation more a place of changing crew, too many wanting to lead, a co-captain that had stayed on since the maiden trip. Offloading unnecessary baggage. Rediscovering forgotten treasures from the lower deck and bringing them into the light, they are worthless if not seen and worshipped. Around me there are guides, good friends, love, a safe place where I trust that those around me wants to send me off on my next journey, a new adventure in my best and strongest version. Knowing when the storm hits, I can survive, I can conquer it. The calm seas I will enjoy and use for healing and learning from the storm, to prepare for what comes when I reach the next harbor. I can help, guide and know that I can lay along the pier and not at the furthest corner not to be seen or heard, and I worship my relations.
